Weather and tide for your eBird checklist, in one click

SnowRaven Mini puts the SnowRaven app's weather and tide right on the eBird checklist page. Open it on a checklist's Edit Comments page and the weather is already on your clipboard, formatted the same way as SnowRaven, with the tide right below.

Privacy by design

Your keys stay on your device

SnowRaven Mini has no account, no analytics, no telemetry, and no server. You bring your own two free API keys, for eBird and OpenWeather. They are stored only in your browser and each is sent only to its own service. NOAA tide data needs no key. There is nothing in the middle.

What it does

Weather and tide, without leaving eBird

One click on a checklist resolves where and when you were, fetches the weather and tide, and hands them to you ready to paste.

One-click weather and tide

Open the popup on a checklist's Edit Comments page and the weather block copies itself, in the same format the SnowRaven desktop app produces. The tide for the nearest NOAA station sits right below with its own copy button. Switch to the comment field and paste.

Asks only for what it needs

SnowRaven Mini reaches three APIs, eBird, OpenWeather, and NOAA, and nothing else. It requests that access from your click the first time you use it, not at install, so there is no broad-permission warning and no surprise.

Also get the tides

Tide is for US coastal checklists. When the nearest NOAA station is too far away or your checklist is inland, SnowRaven Mini says so plainly, with an override to show the nearest station anyway, rather than inventing a number.
